Project Brief

This project explores the future of urban mobility through ORCA, a redesign of the Waterbus envisioned 20 years into the future. The project also introduced Blender modelling and visualization as tools for developing and communicating the design.

Designing for Rivium

We visited Rivium to conduct  interviews with local residents to understand the atmosphere and daily rhythms of the area. On-site observations helped identify the dominant modes of transportation and provided insight into how people move through and interact with the neighborhood. Photographs taken during the visit were then used to create a collage, capturing the overall feel of the area.

Future of Rivium

Rivium’s PESTLE analysis shows that the development will benefit from government support, sustainable environmental practices, new technology and transport systems, economic growth, and community-focused planning, while also following important legal and safety regulations to create a successful, connected, and sustainable neighbourhood.
